Binance Collaborates with Israel to Restrict Hamas Crypto Accounts

Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, has collaborated with Israeli authorities in freezing cryptocurrency accounts linked to the Palestinian militant organization, Hamas, as confirmed by the Israel Police in a statement released yesterday.

The police statement revealed, "Hamas initiated a fundraising campaign on social media, urging the public to deposit cryptocurrencies into its accounts." The cyber unit, along with the National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing (NBCTF), took immediate action to locate and freeze these accounts, with the invaluable support of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.

According to estimates from crypto analytics firm BitOK, wallets connected to Hamas have received approximately $41 million in cryptocurrency deposits between August 2021 and June 2023.

Caroline Ellison Accuses Ex-Sam Bankman-Fried in Trial

Ellison, aged 28, also clarified the reasons behind the conclusion of her on-and-off relationship with the fallen crypto figure, aged 31. She accused him of being emotionally distant and neglecting their relationship during their cohabitation in a lavish $35 million penthouse in the Bahamas.
